NN Group Corporate Social Responsibility

The concept of Corporate Responsibility is inseparably connected to our broader strategy. Since 1995, we implement programs to monitor the effect of our operation to the world around us.

We are included in the FTSE4Good Index since 2001, as well as in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index since 1999, when the latter was established. 2010 marked five years of global partnership with UNICEF for the “Chances for Children” program, which provides the right to education for more than 500,000 children. It also marked 15 years of performance audit in the Corporate Responsibility area.

Every year we issue our annual Corporate Responsibility Report under the title: “NN in Society”. Its principal action pillars are Company Function, Human Resources, the communities which the company operates in and the Environment. It is a publication of 100 pages, drafted in accordance with the standards of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and presents the structure of the NN Corporate Responsibility strategy and the corresponding results achieved. The report is innovative in that it includes commentary of the actions and results by the stakeholders that are affected by the Corporate Responsibility program.

Moreover, the Corporate Responsibility Report analyzes the company behavior on ethical, social and environmental issues. The relevant section, “Beyond Business as Usual”, analyzes the way NN, as a business organization, manages its social and environmental footprint. Furthermore, it investigates how we could collectively as a company influence the world, so as to increase the positive impact on our environment and society.
