Customer Information (FATCA directive)

The Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) is a United States federal law that requires foreign financial institutions (FFIs) to report to the competent US tax authority (IRS) customers falling under the definition of “U.S. Persons” - as defined by the US tax authorities. NN Hellas is included in the definition of an FFI and has, therefore, complied with FATCA as of 1 July 2014. As of that date, NN Hellas reserves all its lawful rights to not accept any new insurance application or order for a transaction or the fulfilment of obligations deriving from policies falling under the scope of FATCA, where such an  application/transaction order/obligation fulfilment results in breach of any requirement under FATCA or any other legislation or intergovernmental agreement relating to FATCA.

Clients that are “U.S. Persons” or may have indicia for being “U.S. Persons” should contact the Customer Relations Department of NN Hellas or their insurance agent to be informed about the necessary forms/documentation, which they may have to complete and submit.
